Night trek to Savandurga & Sunrise at top

Savandurga (Kannada: ಸಾವನದುರ್ಗ) is a hill 60 km west of Bangalore (Karnataka, India) off the Magadi road 12.919654°N 77.292881°E, in India. The hill is considered to be among the largest monolith hills in Asia. The hill rises to 1226 m above mean sea level and forms a part of the Deccan plateau. It consists of peninsular gneiss, granites, basic dykes and laterites. The Arkavathi river passes nearby through the Thippagondanahalli reservoir and on towards Manchanabele dam.

If you are coming from Bangalore to Savandurga, there are two ways..

Way 1:

Via NICE road you can hit Bangalore - Mysore Highway and take right just after Rajarajeshwari Dental College. In that way you'll see Big Banyan Tree,  Manchanbele Dam.
In this way around 15 KM road is not good. This will take time to cross.

Way 2:

Via NICE road hit Magadi Road (After Mysore road) and from Magadi take left on "Magadi - Ramanagara Road.

There is a temple called "Narasimhaswamy Temple Savandurga" where you can park your car/bikes and start your trek.
