Poovar Backwater @ Neyyar River.

Poovar is a popular tourist town in the Trivandrum district of Kerala state, South India. This village is almost at the southern tip of Trivandrum while the next village, Pozhiyoor, marks the end of Kerala. This village has a beautiful beach which attracts tourists.
1-2 hours boat ride (Approx 2 - 2.5K INR per boat) at this river which goes via Mangroves, which they all similar to Amazon forest where Anaconda (film) was filmed.
After Mangroves they take to floating restaurants, be careful there are many option and they will take to one, so look around before giving order.

Welcome to the Jungle

Though there are many will creatures, if you are lucky you can spot few of them. I found kingfisher, Eagle, Snake.

Entering into deep forest, Mangroves forest.

Here you see Neyyar river merging with Arabian Sea.
